+1 x 8 ….
Fuck I love the number 8. For so many reasons. Lucky #8 Feral Friday entry.
This week has been a very tough one. Challenging to say the least… and being heroic has been the most challenging. I deeply contemplated not writing… but HERE I AM.
Consistency over quality. Showing up. For me. Not you.
Short and sweet this week, heroes! Enjoy…
ENERGY
Shauna is so hot!
About 8 years ago I bought a broken infrared sauna, added my own infrared bulbs (classic Feral hair-brain-scheme) and have been ADDICTED to the HOT ever since!! Heat therapy is a huge part of my ENERGY PROTOCOL.
Right now, if I get 1x session per week, I am loving life! Pre kids, I was doing 3x sessions a week and it single-handedly made every winter in Canada bearable.
My good buddy Danny just purchased a bad-ass barrel sauna! Last night he invited a few of us to meet SHAUNA the SAUNA! :)
I don’t think there is a better way of spending a -30c snowy evening… there is something about sweating with other humans that creates a bond, trust and openness. I do my best thinking in saunas. I solve problems. I journal. I relax the nervous system and let the creative juices flow. Last night was no exception…. but, Philosophizing with close buddies (brothers)… is just next level SOUL NOURISHING!
Nice me you Shauna! Thanks Danny & Mike for the stoic step!
WORK
“Struggle well - know that if you don’t tale risks you won’t get rewards, and it is going to come with pain. Take the crashes and learn from them to get better” - James C.
This quote from my buddy James when explaining his top take-aways from the video on the Principles of Success by Ray Dalio. Amazing watch - please watch!
He is right! No pain, no gain. What you resist is what you need to gravitate towards. FEAR is the reason we don’t take risks… therefore, we don’t get the rewards. Close the gap between what you are capable of doing and what you are doing… that’s the game. That’s the heroes journey.
Thanks for sending the video James, fucking awesome!
Struggle well heroes!
LOVE
“Who knew connecting with awesome people on a regular basis could be so much fun!”
I appreciate all of my friends that make my life so awesome! Thank you.
With gratitude, HEROES!
